At TheColourWorld, we take great pride in ensuring every order — from our smallest crayon set to our most detailed colouring book — is delivered securely, on time, and in perfect condition. Our goal is to make your creative experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible, from the moment you place an order to the moment your package arrives at your door.

This Shipping Policy outlines how we process, ship, and deliver orders both within the United Kingdom and internationally. By purchasing from TheColourWorld, you agree to the terms detailed below.

1. Order Processing Times

Each order placed at TheColourWorld is carefully reviewed and packaged with attention to detail.

  • Standard Processing Time: 1–3 business days.

  • During Peak Seasons: Processing may extend to 3–5 business days due to higher order volumes (particularly around holidays).

We do not process or ship orders on weekends or U.K. public holidays. Orders placed during those times will be processed on the following working day.

Order Verification

All orders undergo a brief verification step to confirm payment, address accuracy, and product availability. If we need additional information to verify your order, our team will contact you via the email address provided during checkout.

TheColourWorld proudly ships from the United Kingdom to customers worldwide.

We currently ship to:

  • United Kingdom (Mainland & Northern Ireland)

  • European Union countries

  • North America (United States & Canada)

  • Australia & New Zealand

  • Select international destinations

If your country or region is not listed at checkout, please contact us at contact@thecolourworld.com and we’ll do our best to make alternative arrangements.


3. Shipping Options & Delivery Estimates

We partner with reliable courier services such as Royal Mail, Hermes (Evri), and DPD, as well as trusted international carriers for overseas orders.

Estimated delivery times are as follows:

Please note: Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. Actual delivery time may vary due to customs clearance, postal delays, or force majeure events (e.g., weather disruptions, strikes, or global emergencies).


4. Shipping Fees

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on:

  • The destination address

  • The weight and dimensions of the package

  • The selected shipping method

We occasionally offer free shipping promotions on select products or order totals. Such offers will be clearly displayed on our website and checkout page.

For international orders, the customer is responsible for customs duties, import taxes, and local handling fees (if applicable). These charges are not included in our product or shipping prices and are determined by your local customs authority.


5. Tracking Your Order

Once your order is shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number and a direct tracking link. You can use this link to follow your package’s journey in real time.

Tracking updates may take up to 24–48 hours to appear, especially for international shipments or public holidays.

If you experience any issues tracking your package, please email our support team with your order number and tracking ID — we’ll help you locate your parcel as quickly as possible.


6. Pre-Orders and Backorders

From time to time, TheColourWorld may offer limited-edition or pre-order items.
When you purchase a pre-order:

  • The product’s estimated availability date will be stated on the product page.

  • Your order will be processed and shipped once the product becomes available.

For backordered items, we’ll notify you immediately if a product is temporarily out of stock. You can choose to:

  1. Wait for the restock and have your full order shipped together, or

  2. Request partial shipment for available items.


7. Incorrect Address or Delivery Issues

It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate shipping details at checkout.
If the wrong address is entered and the package is returned to us:

  • We can reship it once the correct address and additional shipping fee (if applicable) are provided.

  • If the order is undeliverable and not returned, we cannot issue a refund.

If your package is marked “delivered” but you haven’t received it:

  1. Check with household members, neighbours, or your local post office.

  2. Wait 24–48 hours — sometimes carriers scan packages before delivery.

  3. Contact our support team for assistance.

We will do our best to help you locate your parcel, but once a package is confirmed as delivered by the courier, TheColourWorld cannot be held liable for lost or stolen items.


8. Damaged, Missing, or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number

  • Photos of the damaged item and packaging

We’ll review the case and offer one of the following resolutions:

  • Replacement of the affected product

  • Partial refund

  • Store credit

All decisions are made on a case-by-case basis, but we aim to resolve every issue fairly and quickly.


9. Customs, Duties & Taxes

All international shipments may be subject to customs inspections and charges. TheColourWorld cannot control or predict such fees.

Customers are responsible for any customs duties, VAT, import taxes, or brokerage fees that may apply to their order.

We recommend checking with your country’s customs office for more information on possible fees before placing an order.

If you refuse to pay customs fees and your package is returned to us, you will be refunded minus shipping and handling costs once the item is safely received and inspected.


10. Delivery Delays & Force Majeure

While we work hard to deliver your orders on time, external factors can occasionally cause unexpected delays. TheColourWorld is not liable for delays resulting from:

  • Natural disasters, severe weather, or postal strikes

  • Customs processing times

  • Pandemic-related restrictions or border closures

  • High seasonal demand (e.g., Christmas period)

We’ll always keep you informed in such cases and do our best to ensure minimal disruption to your order.


11. Lost Packages

If your order has not arrived within 30 business days (U.K.) or 45 business days (international), please contact our support team.

We will initiate an investigation with the courier. If the package cannot be located, you’ll be eligible for a replacement or refund, depending on product availability.

Please note that TheColourWorld cannot process claims for lost orders submitted after 60 days from the date of shipment.


12. Multiple Shipments

If you order multiple items, they may arrive in separate packages depending on availability and warehouse location. Each shipment will have its own tracking number for transparency.

We will always notify you via email if your order is being shipped in multiple parts.


13. Returns Due to Failed Delivery

If a package is returned due to failed delivery (e.g., unclaimed parcel, incorrect address, refusal to pay duties), we will:

  • Notify you once the item returns to our warehouse

  • Offer to reship it at your expense, or

  • Issue a refund minus shipping and handling fees

Returned packages are typically received within 4–8 weeks, depending on the carrier.
